A steel substructure forming part of a walkway that connects two sections of a passenger terminus in Singapore is modeled using hollow sections. The global structural model is developed in ETABS, capturing geometry, loading, and boundary conditions. This model is imported into IDEA StatiCa Checkbot, where it is prepared for connection design and code-checking using the Connection app. The workflow supports export to IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) format, enabling smooth integration with CAD and BIM platforms.
